This past Friday we headed up to HorsePlay Niagara in Port Colborne to shoot Ana and Nuno's lovewalk for their screen presentation.

It's a little different having horse's in a lovewalk but I'm pretty sure everyone at their reception will get a kick out of it when it is screened.

You all will be seeing it real soon as we will be adding it to our website in the video section in the next few days. So stay tuned.

Patricia and Daniel

This past Saturday April 14 we photographed Patricia and Daniel's wedding. They exchanged their vows at my favourite church St. Helen's.

We loved photographing there wedding, they had such a great group. Even though it was a little chilly everyone had a great time.

The food was great, their wedding was catered by the great people at Lisbon by Night.

Chris's Random Thoughts

I keep getting emails saying Chris post some new thoughts, I guess everyone needs something to do at work. So to all of you who have been waiting, here is another installment of the world renowned Chris's random thoughts.
- I have discovered a website that has become so addictive that I can't stop logging on. I have been in touch with people I have not seen in 10-15 years and if you don't know the site is www.facebook.com. Look me up, Chris Cabral my network is Toronto.
- The great March Madness is back and offices through out North America have pools and brackets to occupy every ones time but I have the final four teams that will make it to the end. UCLA, Texas, Ohio St., and Wisconsin will be the four left standing at the end with Texas being the national champion.
- If you have been like me and not been going out to see movies because of one reason or another. Maybe it's the price of tickets, maybe it's the $10 popcorn, or my personal favourite the groups of 12 year old kids who seem to have competitions to see who is the biggest idiot and who can make the most noise. I have seen a movie that will make going out to the movies a great experience. Go watch 300 right now. Stop what you are doing and get to a theatre. This movie is the greatest thing I have seen in a very long time and I own over 500 DVDs. If you don't see this movie on the big screen you will hate yourself when you rent it. Me and Dianne are planning to see it again on Imax.
- Last time I mentioned some 80's cartoons and I got to thinking which were my favourites. So I made up a list of my 3 favourite, here they are in order 1) Thundercats 2)G.I Joe and 3) He-Man.
- So Britney Spears is a weirdo, what can we do. She wants to shave her head, good for her. I love it. I for one have been waiting for the female Micheal Jackson for sooooo long and she has arrived.
- If you are in Toronto and want to try a great Thai restaurant check out www.thai4you.ca and order the cashew nut chicken. Plus the owners are so friendly every time me and Dianne go there it's like we're family. I don't have to order they know what we like.
- I have a new favourite T.V show. Rome is the best show I have seen in awhile. I'm just catching up on season one and I love it.

Ashley's Portraits

Yesterday we photographed Ashley for the second time, the first time being her baptism a year ago. Children are always fun to photograph because you never know what you're going to get.

She even brought her sister Chloe along to take a few pictures with her.

When it comes to photographing children a little patience goes a long way.

Olivia's new Pictures.

Here are some new photos of Olivia, just in time for Easter. You might remember her from a few months ago. She was 2 weeks old at the time, now she is 4 months old. In no time her wedding pictures will be up. You will probably see her two more times in the coming months. Her parents have taken advantage of our "Baby's first year" package.

Once again for March we are keeping with tradition and having a new list of discounted dates for 2007. Even though we are booking weddings for 2008 and now 2009 we are finding that many of you are still looking for a photographer for this year. So the deal is the same, if you book any package with us for your wedding we will pay the taxes on the dates below. Keep in mind the dates go fast and we only photograph 2 weddings a day.

Chris's Random Thoughts

Just like Arnold, I'm Back.
Did you miss me, no... o.k. Just some more thoughts about everyday life for you guys to read. After all you need something to do at work.

- As a child I often wondered about a few things. How come there were so many Smurfs and just one Smurfette. Why did the Flintstones sleep in separate single beds, how did Pebbles come about. Finally did the Care Bears really care.
- Superbowl Sunday came and went with the Colts winning. But I found that I was the real winner, why you ask. Well as I was watching the game with my Fiance I was flipping through the channels during a commercial so that she can watch something that might interest her. Then the heavens opened up and angels began to sing as she said "what's wrong with you, put the game back on". I could not believe my ears, did she say what I think she said. She grabbed the converter from my hands as I began to cry, I had truly found the perfect woman. She likes football. Maybe that's why she pays attention when Tom Brady is being interviewed.
- I told you that the Raptors are going to get things done this year, I told you. I will be wearing my Chris Bosh jersey at the A.C.C when Lebron James and the Cav's come to town in a few weeks. You heard it here first it's guaranteed win night.
- The best website in the world is http://www.youtube.com/. Where else can you find footage of Bridezilla's, Bigfoot and Quagmire. Giggitty, Giggitty.
- Just so you all know Cristiano Ronaldo is the greatest soccer player in the world and will be for years to come. Get used to it.
- If you are in Toronto and want to try the best sushi this side of Japan.
Go to new generation sushi on Bloor. Trust me.
- Finally, with the Oscar's coming up I have to say this. If Martin Scorsese does not win I will be very, very, very upset. He made Goodfellas, Raging Bull, and Gangs of New York and has not won an Oscar, shame on the Academy.

Congratulations Pretey and Steve

Yesterday our videographer Steve's wife Pretey gave birth to their first child, a boy named Nicolas. I did have a list of names but I guess they didn't like Clark Kent, Mats, or they could've named him after me. What's wrong with Chris. I tried but, bribery didn't work.


He's pretty cute, even though he looks like his dad.


Congratulations to Pretey and Steve. So Steve can you get back to work now?

Don't be disappointed

We here at Studio Cabral try our very best to be available for everyone on the dates that they are taking that big step into marriage. Unfortunately we cannot photograph every wedding. To all those people who have called in and asked for certain dates only to find that they are not available we are very sorry, we only photograph 2 wedding's per day because we only have 2 photographers on staff and we don't hire anymore. We do this because in our eyes your wedding should not be photographed by anyone who treats it as a weekend job. So to avoid disappointments that you may have with your date being no longer available , book early.

Helen & Peter's Slide show

Canada's Bridal Show

The White Sale

20th Anniversary Events

March 20, 2007 will mark the 20th year that we have been taking pictures of you beautiful people and to celebrate that we want to throw a party. An open house to be exact, the week of March 19-25 we would like to see as many faces from the past, present and future pass by to say hi! and have a drink and some eats. Bridal Show Season

Every new year brings change, reflection and a heavy dose of Bridal Shows. First off is the grandaddy of them all Canada's Bridal Show, and once again we will be there. Stop by to see us in booth #431, and if seeing us is not incentive enough we have a limited number of passes for $5.00 off admission. Chris's Random Thoughts

It has been awhile and I am sorry, but now I'm ready to share some holiday cheer. Just a few things to share with you this week.
- In Canada I feel we have one major problem, we do not support Canadian content. We only look to what they are doing in the States. But we have a lot of great people doing great things. So go out and support them, when you go buy a book get one by Mordecai Richler a great author who is no longer with us. When you need a new C.D get one by the Tragically Hip or Nelly Furtado. When you want a new DVD get "the Sweet Hereafter" directed by Atom Egoyan. When you want to laugh, anything by Russell Peters will do. For something funky get "the Hilarious house of Frightenstein" on DVD, really cool and really weird. I was waiting for that to come on DVD so bad. In conclusion watch these two T.V shows "The Hour" with George Stroumboulopaulos on CBC and "Rent A Goalie" on Showcase.
- Still with television, I want my own reality T.V show. When Flava Flav has had 3 something is wrong, my dog has more personality then he does.
- Bring Dave Chappelle back, please!!!
- My raptors are making noise boys and girls and soon a championship is on the horizon.
- Favorite Simpson line of all time is by the immortal Homer Simpson. "I'm not a praying man, but please, please Superman save me"
- So they had a little Brawl in New York last week at the Knicks and Nuggets game. If I am Carmelo Anthony I would find a rock a crawl under it. Nice punch Carmela.
- Some last minute Christmas gift ideas for you. For the sports fan, #7 from Manchester United or #17 from Portugal Burgundy or black. For the woman in your life, anything with the words "Spa" and "Getaway". For the man in your life, Money. We're big fans of money. For the person who has everything, Studio Cabral gift certificates. Cassandra's Communion Photos

The last few days we have been really busy with the Christmas rush that I haven't been able to post anything. Last Saturday Cassandra came by to have her communion photos taken. Although communion photos are traditionally taken during the spring months, it is good to have them done early.

We are taking bookings now for communion photos for the new year. So to avoid disappointment in not having the time and day that is good for you and your child give us a call.
The days and times are starting to fill up fast, especially for April and May.

Santa

Santa passed by today for his yearly visit to Studio Cabral and just like that he was gone and heading back home to the North Pole. To all of those who had pictures taken and dropped of donations for the Bloorcourt Village B.I.A toy drive we thank you. To all of those who couldn't make it, don't worry Santa will be back next year.
